MapBOSS

This Network Management infrastructure is a system that monitors, manages and administers a collection of network system that are distributed over a wide geographical region. The NOS is composed of the GIS MAP system, National Operations Center (NOC), Regional Operations Center (ROC) and the Local Operations Center (LOC). Additional infrastructure for Billing, Customer Service, Field Services, Call Management, etc. is also incorporated into the NOS

Engineering drawings are often used in a networking solution to get an idea of the elements and layout. MapBOSS provides an elegant solution for extracting information from design maps and converting it into electronic data that could be used for integrated network management solutions. It also helps the user to regenerate the map drawings from the linked data.

MapBOSS will recognize most of the drawing packages available in the market such as AutoCAD and Microstation. The drawing may lack the common standard for the entities in it, but MapBOSS give a facility to add a standard rule to interpret a set of drawings. It also generates a hierarchical view of entities present in the drawings.

In addition to the extraction to external database, MapBOSS also provides a web based source control system for storing the drawings. Easy-to use and powerful security features are equipped in MapBOSS.
